The Process

1. Developed the character rig using bones

2. Referenced an animation from Mixamo to create a walk cycle

3. Animated the model using keyframes

Submitted for the 2023 GameDev.tv Game Jam, Eternal Duality is a game centered around the theme: Yin and Yang. We decided to take it literally and created a monochrome world that switches between light and dark.
My role was to model and animate the protagonist and that began with concepting said character. I start with sketching a design that would be recognizable yet easily recreated in 3D.
From there, I began making the model's skeleton and experimented with creating animations using keyframes.
